Tina Taylor, MN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC

Tina Taylor MN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC is an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner who has been practicing in Cowlitz County for the last two decades providing psychiatric medication and counseling services. She brings compassion, kindness, a bright smile, a sweet sense of humor and an easy-going communication style.  She has a natural ability to connect and build lasting therapeutic relationships.

 

Tina is passionate about treating the 'whole person' and she values her client's voice and interprofessional collaboration to provide a client-centered, strength-based approach to healthcare treatment.  She follows evidenced-based guideline treatments for depression, anxiety, and PTSD/trauma.  Tina's extensive clinical experience, assessment skills and intuition allows her to provide quality, personalized and informed treatment plan options. Treatment can include psychiatric medication, counseling modalities and/or a blending of natural treatments, like vitamins, supplements, exercise, lifestyle medication, nutrition and stress management. Tina also provides counseling with most all her medication follow-up appointments. These modalities consist of supportive therapy, interpersonal therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and various techniques of grounding, relaxation and mindfulness.

 

Tina graduated in 1990 from her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and in 2004 she completed her Master's of Nursing and became board certified as an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner. She has worked in various settings as a Registered Nurse from medical, cardiac, home care and inpatient, outpatient psychiatry.  Over the last two decades Tina has worked in the local mental health outpatient community as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and has extensive experience working with the indigenous Native American community.
