Fran J. Smith LICSW

Fran Smith is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has been in practice since 1985, after receiving her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Portland State University.

She enjoys working with adults, 19 and over, and specializes in depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. She also provides therapy for a wide range of problems including stress, grief, loss, transition issues, panic attacks, separation, communication problems, dealing with difficult people, aging issues, and issues of spirituality.

She also specializes in marital therapy and couples communication, and has an additional specialty in divorce prevention. She taught as adjunct faculty for 18 years at Clark College, including Relationship courses that explored love, attraction, sexuality, communication, and conflict resolution; and also taught courses in Decision-Making, Assertiveness, Self-Esteem, and Stress-Management.

Ms. Smith is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Academy of Certified Social Workers.
