Michael Sampson, Ph.D.


 

After receiving his Masters Degree in school and clinical psychology from University of California at Hayward, Dr. Michael Sampson completed his doctorate in clinical psychology from the California School of Psychology at Berkeley.

His post-doctoral fellowship at the San Francisco Veteran's Administration offered unique training in parent-child communication, separation and divorce, stress responses and management, and suicide prevention.

In addition to his general psychotherapy practice, Dr. Sampson has broad experience in the treatment of children and adolescents, and has served as a consultant to the Kelso School District since 1983.

His teaching experience includes courses at Clatsop Community College, Lower Columbia College, Linfield College, and Seattle Pacific University.

Dr. Sampson is a member of the American Psychological Association and Washington State Psychological Association.

One of the founders of NWPR in 1996, Dr. Sampson brings extensive experience in the treatment of adults, couples, families, children and adolescents. He serves as a clinical supervisor, and has worked as the clinical consultant to the Kelso School District. Currently, he is the clinical consultant at the Quest Academy in Longview.
