Heather Owens, LMHC

​

Heather Owens is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from George Fox University, also receiving special certification in child mental health.  Heather worked in residential inpatient treatment centers for children before becoming a certified school counselor. Prior to entering private practice, she worked for 10 years in an outpatient community mental health setting, serving children and adults using person-centered, parent-child, and trauma-informed therapy methods.  Heather’s focus is on working with clients ages three through younger adulthood dealing with difficult life situations, including family struggles, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, PTSD, attachment issues, and child behavioral problems.
