Pam Hedglin, LICSW
I value people from all walks of life, and find joy in encouraging your healing and growth. I have a passion for helping people overcome various traumas that work to keep so many of us from reaching our goals and experiencing the joy of living. I desire to help you remove as many barriers as possible as you begin your healing journey. Together we will explore how to improve your quality of life and to identify and meet your deepest needs through self-awareness and gentle change.
My experience enables me to meet you, the client, at your point of need. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I earned my Masters in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. With over 12 years of experience in the field, I have worked in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, inpatient/outpatient, home-based work, criminal justice, vocational rehabilitation, substance use, homelessness and children and family services. I have years of experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma in their lives, as well as working with school-based concerns such as learning difficulties or bullying.
I have a passion for working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues at any stage of life, and chronic health issues. Together we will identify those areas of concern, be it relationships, trauma, depression, anxiety, inappropriate coping skills (computer, substances, etc.), anger, self-esteem, time and stress-management, or other life challenges, working to gain self-insight, encourage mindfulness, and empower you to set and reach your goals.
I combine cognitive behavioral strategies as well as mindfulness-based strategies such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to assist clients with their mental health and other daily challenges, working to develop a strength-based strategy for positive change. I have taught for several years at our local college and am a member of National Association of Social Workers. I will always work diligently to provide a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for all my clients and their families. I honor your strength in seeking to talk with me and explore solutions.
