Jennifer Harder, LICSW, SUDP
Jennifer Harder is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and a Substance Use Disorder Professional. She graduated with her Bachelors degree from Washington State University in psychology with minors in Spanish and Alcohol Studies in 2005. From there she started working in the addiction field and practiced in inpatient, outpatient, facilitated groups and provided individual sessions. She worked in various settings including jails, schools, shelters and provided services to adults and adolescents struggling with substance use disorders. She was a clinical supervisor for several years at a non-profit in Clark County teaching and supporting other counselors to provide the best treatment possible to those they served. Jennifer went on to get her Masters Degree in Social Work from Eastern Washington University in 2012 and was licensed as a clinical social worker in Washington State. From here she was the director of a residential mental health facility and returned to working with individuals in 2020 where she resides today.
Jennifer provides evidence-based practices including but not limited to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Personal Statement:
I believe that therapy needs to be tailored to people’s unique needs and should harness the personal strengths that they have already developed. I love talking to people and hearing their stories, then coming up with a plan to help them through their challenges. I support treatment of the whole-person taking into account their physical, mental, social and emotional health.
My speciality is in working with people substance use disorders and their
interaction with other mental health conditions. I have experience in supporting people with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and many other areas.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. I enjoy reading, traveling, gardening, canning, cooking, camping and experiencing new adventures.
