Naomi Schwendemann, LICSW, LCSW


Naomi is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Child Mental Health Specialist. She holds a masters in Social Work from Portland State University and a Bachelors in Science from the University of Texas. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, attachment trauma, and stress related to major life changes. With over nine years of experience, Naomi has supported children and families in a variety of capacities including pre-school work, school social work, and outpatient community mental health.

Naomi enjoys working with all ages, from young children, to adolescents, to adults. Her work focuses on attachment, healing trauma through EMDR, and healing attachment trauma in children through theraplay. In addition to using non-directive play therapy with children, Naomi utilizes therapeutic techniques such as narrative therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. 

Naomi helps clients identify their personal goals and works with clients collaboratively to discover their ideal treatment options. She aims to support her clients to see their innate strengths and abilities, and meets clients where they are with non-judgment, empathy, and curiosity.
