Stephen S. Meharg, Ph.D., ABN

mehargA Longview-Kelso native, Dr. Meharg completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Washington State University in 1985, followed by a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 1990, and Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in 1991.

After a final year of training in behavioral medicine and neuropsychology at the Portland VA Medical Center, Dr. Meharg entered private practice in the Longview area. In addition to a general practice in child and adult psychotherapy, he holds specialty practices in clinical and forensic neuropsychology, ADHD, child behavior disorders, parent training, and behavior therapy of anxiety disorders. He consults extensively with area medical providers. Dr. Meharg has also served as adjunct faculty at George Fox College and Lower Columbia College, and is a consulting psychologist in the department of Internal Medicine at St John Medical Center.  He serves as the trainer and supervisor of the Lay Counseling Clinic of Longview Community Church.  He is board certified with the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology.

Dr. Meharg holds membership in the American Psychological Association, American Academy of Neurology, Washington State Psychological Association, International Neuropsychological Society, National Academy of Neuropsychology, Pacific Northwest Neuropsychological Society, American College of Professional Neuropsychology, and the North American Brain Injury Society.

Dr. Meharg is married and has three children.  His hobbies include fishing, boating, camping, computers, and photography.  He is also an accomplished musician, serving as principal viola of several local community and professional orchestras and string quartets.  He volunteers as a string coach in the Longview School District.

Wendy Hartinger, MA

Hartinger Wendy Hartinger, M.A., is a Forensic Psychology doctoral graduate student at Alliant International University (formerly California School of Professional Psychology).  She is currently in her final year of school, completing a psychology internship with NWPR/CFMAL.   Her experience includes psychological evaluations for both forensic and clinical issues, neuropsychological evaluations, biofeedback, individual psychotherapy, and group psychotherapy. She has conducted her graduate research in juvenile justice and has worked with other professionals to develop research on chronic pain issues and criminality.

Ms. Hartinger provides clinical and assessment services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist affiliated with NWPR/CFMAL.  She is a provider on several state-funded insurance programs (CHPW and Molina).  Most counseling services are provided on a cash basis.  Ms. Hartinger has a liberal discounted fee schedule.

Angela Horne, BS

Angela Horne, B.S., is a Clinical Psychology doctoral graduate student at The Washington School of Professional Psychology (AKA: Argosy University/Seattle).  She is currently in her fourth year of school, completing a psychology internship at CFMAL.   Her experience includes psychological evaluations for both forensic and clinical issues, neuropsychological evaluations, specializing in the Rorschach, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and individual psychotherapy. She is currently conducting her graduate research in intergenerational trauma amongst diverse populations.
